Historical Note
The Sower has appeared on French coins and stamps since the late 19th century and remains one of the most recognizable visual motifs associated with France.
On this 2015 issue, Marianne as The Sower is surrounded by twelve stars, placing a long-established French symbol within a modern European visual context.
The reverse draws inspiration from the medieval Franc à Cheval, connecting this modern issue to a much longer history of French coinage.

FALJU Perspective
FALJU COINS selected this piece for the quiet movement of Marianne depicted as The Sower.
We view this coin not only as a modern French gold issue, but as a small cultural object carrying France’s long relationship with image, memory, and national identity.
The figure of The Sower suggests renewal, continuity, and the act of leaving something for the future. In that sense, this coin speaks less through decoration than through gesture.

FALJU COINS
