Visited Frieze Seoul 2026 at COEX in Seoul.
The fair brought together more than 125 galleries from 30 countries, with a strong presence from across the Asia-Pacific region.
Alongside contemporary art, this year’s edition also introduced new sections focusing on material practice and overlooked twentieth-century artists.
For FALJU COINS, the visit was a chance to look beyond the coin market and see how art, design, historical objects, and collecting are being presented within Seoul’s wider cultural landscape.

ソウル・COEXで開催されたFrieze Seoul 2026を訪問しました。
今年は30カ国から125以上のギャラリーが参加し、アジア太平洋地域を中心に幅広い作品が紹介されていました。
現代美術に加え、素材や工芸に着目した企画、これまで十分に評価されてこなかった20世紀の作家を紹介する新しいセクションも設けられています。
FALJU COINSでは、コイン市場だけにとどまらず、アート、デザイン、歴史的オブジェ、そして収集文化がソウルの文化環境の中でどのように捉えられているのかを見てきました。
